Hello!

My name is Kyle Krucki. I am an ACE certified personal trainer and online fitness coach with a BA in Kinesiology from Michigan State University. I have been a personal trainer for almost 4 years now, and have been weight-training consistently for over a decade.

My Background...

Fitness became an intrical part of my life when I was just 14. At the time, I was working with a personal trainer at my local gym with the simple goal of building strength for the upcoming hockey season.

But very quickly, the gym became much more than just a place to improve for sport. It was my escape--a place to push, grow, and clear my head for a few hours a week. The most exciting part of my day was getting dropped off at the gym by one of my parents to go hit the weights.

By the time I turned 16, lifting had become a full-blown obsession, and I turned on the jets in order to build the best physique I could. In those two years, everything went perfectly to plan--I was ruthlessly consistent, I was getting stronger, and I had built a solid foundation of muscle mass that I was happy with. I thought that this linear progress would continue on forever.

But things changed rather abruptly. Over the course of a few months, I noticed I couldn't progress on any of my lifts, even though my discipline was still on par. I figured this rut would eventually go away if I just kept training and grinded through it, but then a few more months went by, and then a few more, and then a few more. Before I knew it, a year had passed, and I had no progress to show for it.

I found myself extremely frustrated, and eventually came to the decision that my only viable answer was to do more, because I figured: the more I do, the better results I'll get, right? I knew I was already doing a lot, but it seemed simple enough. If you want more, you do more.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

I became constantly fatigued and exhausted, sustained a few short-term and long-term injuries, and began to hate going to the gym. It wasn't until then I realized I may need to turn off the jets, step back, and reassess what I was doing. Despite the hours I was putting in, I didn't just stop seeing improvements, I was digressing. At that point, I was at a loss of what else to do. But now, looking back at it, it makes total sense why I didn't progress. Outside of simply training with WAY too much volume, I was lacking sleep, wasn't structuring my training programs effectively, and wasn't taking my nutrition seriously.

That year-long plateau sparked a new level of curiosity in me. Over the next few years, I dove headfirst into the world of hypertrophy training and nutrition for physique development, learning all the intricate semantics behind training periodization, calorie and macro tracking, training intensity, recovery, and more. I also I went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in 2021, and soon after became a certified personal trainer through ACE.

Slowly but surely, things started clicking again — and the results followed.

But it didn't come easy. It was a long and tedious process (much longer than I'm proud of) to get to where I finally wanted to be. In the pursuit, I still made nearly every mistake someone trying to build their physique can make:

  • I overate and gained unnecessary body fat.

  • I underate and lost hard-earned muscle.

  • I trained too heavy too often and burnt out.

  • I trained too lightly and saw no change.

  • I gave in to fad workout routines and fad diet tactics

  • I ignored training with good form and got myself injured multiple times

  • I learned the importance of training with good form, then obsessed over it so much that I didn't train hard enough and stalled again.

And that's why I do what I do.

I built Wholesome Performance with the hope of helping others avoid the trial and error I went through. Physique development can be a complex process with lots of moving parts, and I want to help you with the hard stuff so you can focus on what matters most--building a foundation that is set on consistent habits. I'll take care of the rest so you can keep the process as simple and stress-free as possible.

Whether you're new to lifting or years deep into your training career, I want to be the guide I wish I had early on — someone to simplify the process, tailor the plan, and help you train smarter, not just harder.

Let’s build something strong — together.
